I stopped RPing in online groups cause I found it to be a chore too. Started getting very anxious and uncomfortable, especially since my writing style doesn't match most RPers' formats (I write script, so I always feel illiterate and inadequate compared to multiple paragraph-lit replies) so I shut down my RP account over a year ago. Frankly I haven't regretted it since, and now I comfortably RP with 2 close friends on Skype. 

I know not everyone is the same with RPing, but I personally believe if a fun, light-hearted hobby starts to feel more like a chore or a job, there's a problem. Try taking a break and going back when/if you feel comfortable again. Peers should understand if you're feeling cruddy about replying. 

Not sure if you feel the same way, but I find 1x1s much more fun and relaxing as compared to group RPs, since you focus on one RPer and spend more time learning/having adventures with their OC rather than juggle a bunch of RPers at once. Gets overwhelming if they're all new characters you haven't met before and they all have different universes to deal with.

If you're officially done with RPing in general, that's fine as well. Your choice in the end and I hope for the best!
